Welcome to the website of the Ugandan Community in Berlin
We are anon-governmental charity organisation based in germany and our aims and objectives are within the frame work of the german rules on charitable organisations.
The Uganda Community in Berlin was founded in the year 1991 as an association that was aimed at bringing together Ugandans of all walks of life and to establish contact with other charitable organisations who have similar aims. In order to fullfil the aims and objectives of the association, a constitution was drewn to guide the members and briefly below are the aims and objectives of the association.
- To promote Unity, common understanding and mutual cooperation among Ugandans and other citizens.
- To establish contact with charitable and other development organisations.
- To provide information about Uganda to german and non german audience.
In order to achieve the above objectives, the Uganda Community in Berlin can cooperate with the Ugandan Embassy, German Institutions and other Organisations. The association encourages social and cultural activities aimed at portraying Ugandan culture and Ugandan hospitality. The association shall provide information to Ugandans about educational opportunities in Berlin and Germany as a whole.
The current notion of the association is to participate actively in running the affairs of the organisation so that they can dynamically intergrate and adjust themselves to the global society. We encourage creativity amongst the youth and support all efforts that will make them stand on their own in the near future.
