Our Association was established in 1991 as a charity organisation to cater for the welfare of Ugandans of all walks of life.
Our aims and objectives are to promote Ugandan culture, establish contact with worthwhile organisations, help those in need
according to our capacity,advocate for peaceful coexistence, support and encourage educational opportunities.
We are
a non political organisation but support right of association and discussions on political and scientific topics, advocate
for democracy and pluralism.
Our activities include promotion, counselling,organising conferences, get-together functions,cultural
exhibitions, fundraising , consultancy and project planning.
The statute that provides the guiding rules has been drawn
in agreement with the German regulations on charitable organisations and provides a detailed code of conduct for the smooth
running of the Association. Membership is open to any natural person and forms are available to join the organisation. Please

history of the Ugandan Community Berlin cannot be summarised in one sentence. It all started as a joke that a group of men
and women of Ugandan origin decided to form an association but they were not yet aware of the hurdles to go by in forming
such a body. It meant wooing others who would add to the requested number that would make the quorum for the approval of the
draft Constitution. All began in March,1991 and the foundation took off in June 1991. For Informations on Visas and other

The Ugandan Embassy in German has been officially reopened
and the new offices are to be found on Axel- springer Str. 54 A in Berlin.
Our Mission
Uganda Community in Berlin is a charitable organization whose aims and objectives are not underlined by financial interests.
Income and property of the organization shall be used accordance with the constitutional regulations and the members/executive
shall receive no financial rewards for services rendered to the organization.

Becoming a Member
A member shall be any natural person. A written application for membership shall be addressed to the organization for
either full membership or associate membership. Honorary members shall be persons who exceedingly support and promote the
objectives of the organization.
